Thank you all so much for the kind words. I only expected this guitar to be just playable but I actually like the sound of it quite a bit.

Actually I didn't really have to be that annoying. I just had the luck of a forming a friendship with an incredibly generous and financially well-off guitarmaker that could afford to teach me. As far as starting out of your garage/apartment/whatever, I know people have done that and it can be done with relatively few tools. For me it simply would not have been possible to do that and keep my relationship intact. Too small of a space and not enough money for tools.
But if you're in a situation like that I would say, start with reading everything you can get your hands on, get a few essential tools and maybe start from one of those kits where you just have to assemble the parts.
Warning though, it's highly addictive!

I'm definitely impressed. Looks great. A very clean, classic look. Love the rosette. The headstock is very classy. It all looks and sounds so good!
