rombsix -> RE: Traveling for 2 to 3 months (Mar. 2 2010 7:47:51)

Frankly, I was very hesitant about whether or not I wanted to take it. With all the stuff I'm going to have to be carrying with me, I thought it would be too much of a hassle. Others told me to buy a cheap one from there, but my guitars are rigged to be more flamenco, and thus easier to play. Apparently there aren't that many guitar shops in Michigan that sell decent flamenco guitars (and thus I am not planning on going for something expensive from over there). I reached a final decision of TAKING a guitar with me, but it's not going to be my Ramirez. I figured, if something goes wrong, or if I have to abandon my guitar due to airport security checks or the sort, I'd rather lose my trusty Hohner HC-06 $80 guitar. It would be a shame to go for 2 months without even touching a guitar. I tried that once for about 1 week, when I had been playing for about one or two years, and it really had an effect on my technique. I don't want to go through that again. Still, everyone keeps telling me, "Are you going there to study and work, or to play guitar?" [:D]
