Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that I will be working abroad in:

1- USA, Michigan, Ann arbor

2- Canada, Quebec, Montreal

for the coming 2 to 3 months, and therefore might NOT be active here anymore for that duration.

Adios! [;)]

Have a good time there Ramzi!

Remember to take your guitar or you will regret it I'm sure.

cheers,

Ron

have fun, work hard, and good luck!

i think stringsbymail is located in ann arbor, so maybe you can stock up on some strings.

and yeah, maybe here's your chance to find a new guitar!

Frankly, I was very hesitant about whether or not I wanted to take it. With all the stuff I'm going to have to be carrying with me, I thought it would be too much of a hassle. Others told me to buy a cheap one from there, but my guitars are rigged to be more flamenco, and thus easier to play. Apparently there aren't that many guitar shops in Michigan that sell decent flamenco guitars (and thus I am not planning on going for something expensive from over there).

I reached a final decision of TAKING a guitar with me, but it's not going to be my Ramirez. I figured, if something goes wrong, or if I have to abandon my guitar due to airport security checks or the sort, I'd rather lose my trusty Hohner HC-06 $80 guitar.

It would be a shame to go for 2 months without even touching a guitar. I tried that once for about 1 week, when I had been playing for about one or two years, and it really had an effect on my technique. I don't want to go through that again. Still, everyone keeps telling me, "Are you going there to study and work, or to play guitar?"

[:D]

We do, but it's just a bunch of tin cans hooked together with string. Someday we may get the real deal. [:)]

Thanks for pullin' my leg, everyone. [8D]

Arrived safely in Ann Arbor...

Ann Arbor is not so far into the stoneage, I grew up there. Go visit
Elderly Instruments in Lansing if you get a chance. They aren't a flamenco
shop, but they're one of the nicest guitar shops in the country. At least
if you prefer wire strings.

Jeff
