Karen -> Piano flamenco (Feb. 24 2010 2:37:41)

Hi all,

I have been told about flamenco for piano. Being a pianist, this holds a great deal of interest for me... Could anyone tell me more about it? Any artists/ links or information would be appreciated... Might be something for me to look into.

Cheers.

Here is my personal favorite,

The album, Dorantes Sur, is one that i really enjoy listening to. It includes the track in the video link along with more traditional forms like bulerias.

My advice check all from Diego Amador and avoid Dorantes. Hes boring. Diego is the right track.

Hi Karen

Great to see another Aussie on the Foro. I'd love to know how many of us there are on this site.

I'm with Doitsujin - Diego Amador.

Regards from Sunny (Hot & Humid) coastal Queensland!!

If you are interested in flamenco piano. Listen to them all and make up your own mind. Dorantes is not boring at all.

Wow, thanks guys. It's something I'm very interested in- I have a very classical background with the piano, and a little bit of everything with the guitar.

I'll definitely be checking out all these vids and checking back soon...

Cheers!

xx
