Has anyone seen the new Vicente Amigo video of his performance in Cordoba? I love Vicente Amigo and I'm going to buy the video, but does anyone else out there think he's overplaying "City of Ideas"? I thought the album was great; a little to jazzy for my taste but a terrific album none the less. Yet, how long has it been since he released a solo guitar record? It seems he's been touring with this album for years! I suppose I could just be comparing Vicente to Paco in terms of Cd releases. For awhile there, Paco was coming out with record after record.

I posted on the members forum a few weeks ago.
In my opinion, it's just fantastic.
Real playing and super music.
Great to hear a different take on the CD tracks and have a visual demonstration of his playing.
First class.

The music and the video are great, good close-up shot. One problem is that, it is PAL format and it has some regional-limited, I can only see it thru my computer. Recommended highly.

I don't believe in the "over playing, too many notes, too much technique display, too fast, no feeling, etc, etc," type criticisms. But I was kind of bored by City, and the Concert was note by note version of the CD. And the singer was not as good. I wished VA had mixed up his concert a bit more w/ some older peices and released that on DVD instead. I understand the concert was to promote his then new CD, so we take what we can get. The camera shots of his hands are really good though if you want to study his style. The bulerias was nice too (the slower one).
