Hola amigos! I want to know if the Ramirez S1 which is a student model is more percussive and louder than the flamenco Aria AC100F which is all solid the only thing is japanese market but made in Spain, may be if someone has come across with one of these models that would be very appreciated the comment. Yes, I am aware that you have to try it before so one can judge, but also is very valuable the experience and comments from others very constructive and useful to decide when you walk in a music store. Thanks a lot in advance everybody!!!

Erog,
it might help if you post a thread then give at least an answer to the reactions people give.
No offense.

Hi erog

Is constantly asking for comparisons between different guitar models helping you decide what to buy? - or are you writing a book?[:D]

Maybe worth trying a different approach.
Explain to the forum your experience, where you are in the world and your budget. People can then give opinions based on their experience of student guitars in your price range.

Can I also suggest you search the site for other threads - this question is often asked regarding student guitars.

Good luck[:)]

I was about to ask the same thing Graham, is starting a new guitar thread every other day really necessary? LoL don't worry erog I'm not flaming you, I just think you should just buy a nice guitar and get it over with! I recommend a Francisco Navarro because I'm on my second one and it's a jewel. Well made, looks good, loud and easily playable, nothing more one can ask for imho. You will likely not be disappointed in one either, and I'll leave it at that.

Erog, I have played that AC100F Aria about 6 years ago and if I remember it was decent but frankly, a Yamaha CG171SF for $350 would work just as well. I think the Ramirez model you mentioned is the classical version as I believe the FL2 is the flamenco version. I've also played the Ramirez FL2 at my local Guitar Center and it was ok but for that money you could buy a whole lot more guitar.

You are correct, its always best to try before you buy but sometimes that is hard as not too many people live close to a shop that handles Flamenco guitars. Most sellers will let you try the instrument for 48 hours and ship it back if you don't like it however its still tough because you can't try them side x side.

Overall I agree with my fellow Flamenco's, you can only ask for so much advice, eventually you have to pull the trigger and buy something. They have given you some great advice on a few instruments. I would also suggest depending on your level of experience to take a serious look at the Yamaha flamenco. Its a decent low price starter instrument and will work well while you learn. I would play several if you can because while i've noticed the build quality is ok, but sometimes each instrument has a different feel and sound. Some good some not so much...

Sig--
