I don't know what this has to do with anything, but it's interesting that God shaves.

at 1:50 he plays the scizorrs and razor

Ron.M -> RE: Paco Shaves (Feb. 13 2010 4:00:51)

He sure looks a lot better without that mangy old beard.

It makes him look like a scruffy old dosser IMO. [:D]

If he nipped outside a concert hall on his own for a quick smoke at the interval and then tried to get back in, he would stand the chance of getting chucked out by the doorman and told to get on his bike before they called the police.

Also that waistcoat he wears is anything but cool...

Makes him look like an old Grandpa, like Alf Garnett.

Get a makeover Paco!

cheers,

Ron

IMO Paco looks BEST, right now with this age of and WITH beard.

like here:

IMO, he looks even much better than when he was young.

thats a face with a LOT of charsima.

if i would be a lady (no matter which age [:D] ), i would fall in love with this old guy

no man, he pees sitting cross legged!

i can't believe i just spent time watching a man shave. but only because it's paco, it's okay. i wonder how much duende one of his beard hair has and how much it could sell for on ebay....

Yeah Paco's Makeover would be a great TV program.

I would vote for a really short hair cut and tailored heavy corduroy slacks.

What kind of accsessories would he need?

A pocket-watch for the compas.

Exactly! haha[:D]

Well, whatever they are, don't let him choose them himself!

Paco has never had much of an eye for style compared to Camaron, who always managed to look pretty cool.

I think the worst period was the 70's to 80's where his choice of stuff was sometimes kinda BeeGees influenced.

I think the worst picture I've ever seen was when he was wearing a sort of off-white, tartan pattern suit with big lapels and huge bell-bottom trousers (and maybe a black shirt?).

Can't remember where I saw it, but Camaron must have been p*ssing himself laughing and saying to the chicks, "Hey...I'm not with him chicas.... "[:D]

Totally dire.

My advice to Paco is get a good fashion consultant. You can afford it, man... Don't trust your own judgement on these things. [;)][:D]

cheers,

Ron

Hey, I shaved my beard off a couple of hours ago!

Good to know that I have one thing in common with this man...

He was wearing that atrocity in the “Noche de Paco De Lucia”, a video regrettably no longer available on YouTube.

Here, in this Paco y Camaron (beautiful performance) he wears the other painful blazer the Salvation Army tailored for him. Camaron’s attire does not win any fashion week award either; he could be running an ice cream parlor at a Luna Park in Alicante.

xirdneH_imiJ -> RE: Paco Shaves (Feb. 13 2010 13:31:39)

oooh i hate this blazer...i absolutely hate it...

Yet it was his lucky Blazer, wasn't it? I hear now it is safely in the custody of a Canadian conservatory...

here he is wearing it again:

CuerdasDulces -> RE: Paco Shaves (Feb. 13 2010 15:34:09)

Who are you to talk about the way paco dresses and shaves??

I am the only one who is allowed!!!
I will be making new videos called, Paco de Lucia's technique in shaving.

LOL...[8D]

Andy Culpepper -> RE: Paco Shaves (Feb. 13 2010 16:58:14)

Come on guys..it was the 70s! I have always loved Paco and Camaron's style. Think about it, everything they were doing was basically just to do the opposite of the generation before them: the clothes the hippy style necklaces, the sitting position etc.
And Paco's beard was badass! Bring back the beard! I agree he looks good now...all the sun and cigarettes have really soaked in.
I mean he's no Ruben or anything but the guy had SOME style...here he looks like Snoop Dogg or something, love the track suit. It looks like he's about to sell Rube an 8 ball of crystal or somethin

No, Ruben didn't have enough money so he offered his guitar.

Btw, are those flowers on rubens pants?

Agreed. Very cool.

That's THE Rube, to you.

Do not start with the Prof. Diaz mierda in my thread mofo. I will cut you. I'm sick of that name.

They passed it on to the Hockey Hall of Fame...

For anyone thinking of upgrading their gig gear, here's how it's done:

This forum is starting to lose it manly macho feel!!

We always talk about doing our nails and different nail products, sitting cross legged, we complain about aches and pains in our backs...

and now we are talking about fashion and whether or not Paco looks good with a beard and what he should or should not wear!![&:][:(] Whats next? Duquendes hairstyle and Tomatitos hair gel??

I don't know guys...I think its time to butch things up a little![:D][:D]

naaa... me not... I shave my face dry with a butterknife every second day... And I wear my clothes till they fall apart....

estebanana -> RE: Paco Shaves (Feb. 14 2010 15:20:05)

I'm surprised Paco does not wear his hair in a 'mullet' hairstyle, but then again he's his own man.

Thats true...he could have a "business in the front, Flamenco in rear" mullet. Of course, at his age, the good old "Comb over" will have to suffice!
