I actually always felt it was a cool thing that Gerardo would repeat melodies. Especially the groovy ones. It really grabbed me coming from Rock guitar background, sort of like you have cool riffs you like to do over and over with the drummer and really groove on it. I identified with Gerardo's reasoning for that and, yeah he is one of the few that does that. I also agree that THAT particular melody for Solxbul by Gerardo got old on me too. Not just from THAT recording but I have seen him play that LONG before it was on Solome, or jazz paña II, or Cruces Caminos, or Youtube, or Encuentro, ETC ETC. he has been playing that falseta since 1999 when I first went to Sanlucar, and was the first piece we learned. So multiply all THAT by 8x!!!![:D][:D][:D]
