Andrew -> superglue spill on french polish (Jan. 5 2010 4:37:07) I've got a guitar in for repair which has had some super glue spilt on to the French polished top. It looks like thin superglue as it has run in a line from the back of the bridge to the edge of the lower bout. What's the best way to fix this? Thinking of sanding the s.glue with wet+dry fine paper, hopefully it hasn't burn't it's way thru all of the french polish. Then just working some f.p into the area. Andrew

estebanana -> RE: superglue spill on french polish (Jan. 5 2010 18:20:11) You might try scraping it with a razor blade as if it were a drop fill. If you are really careful you will get better result than sanding. Sanding will kinda lump over the glue and sand the top more.
