Farzad Amirani - Falsetas Collection - Vol 1 - Book and CD
Divided in two volumes and classified by styles (palos). Basic and mid level. Flamenco guitarists can experience their first creative steps by adding new falsetas to the flamenco guitar pieces they already know or by replacing some of the old falsetas. They can also compose their own pieces based on the falsetas in this collection. Falsetas are interpreted at normal speed and also at slow speed to facilitate their learning. In both cases there are two versions of accompaniment, metronome and caj?. They all have in the left channel the guitar and in the right channel the metronome/caj? . This way the student will be able to hear the guitar solo, or accompanied by the caj?/metronome and can practice removing the guitar using the metronome/caj? as the accompanying base. All this at normal and slow speed. Falsetas for: Malaguena, Verdiales, Tangos, Farruca, Granaina, Bulerias.

I'm wondering if it's worth buying, anyone know?

Nobody knows? Really?

Or is this a bad time?

Come on, someone must have tried these.

well, i haven't seen them or tried them.... i have seen them advertised on the net, same as you, but i don't know any more than that.... so maybe noone else has either....

but i was thinking maybe it would be a good idea to have a permanent thread like the request tab thread or something where people can write or ask for reviews, contents etc.

often with these books and dvd's etc. you don't really know what is on them or what the level is until you buy it

I had a look at them at a bookstore overhere, but at first glance it seemed very sumier.

I found a link to google-books for the second volume:

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll buy it and see.

By the way, what is "sumier"? I have no clue. ... as usual.
