Yeah Pim, That's Glasgow too. Back in the 70's it was only the posh coffee cafeterias that did it in an oven. I've had deep fried pizza and chips many times. Excellent stuff. What you have to realize, is that Glasgow Fish & Chip shops deep fry EVERYTHING! Fish, Chicken, Ribs, Mock Chops, Pies, Sausages...you name it. If you gave 'em Caviar, they'd mix it with batter and breadcrumbs and deep fry it. Truffles too! No Mercy. The main secret and antidote to the extra fat absorbed is in consuming Irn Bru at the same time. (This is where the English and Foreigners go wrong IMO.) We really should run a course or a summer school in Govan. cheers, Ron
