XXX -> Strings with loose end (Nov. 28 2009 3:16:15)

Does anybody use the loose end of the bass strings to tie them on the bridge? You know, the end where the steel wrapping is not all around and you can see the nylon gut. Not all brands have this, but many have (Hannabach, Daddario, etc..).

sometimes... but i usually use the side that doesn't have the loose ends. in doit's language, i consider it kind of a pussy way to tie the strings.

btw, happy belated birthday! did you get new strings for your birthday or something?
