I just found this and want to share it. I have the feeling his new record will be one of the best albums this year (at least for me). Can`t wait to hear all of it!!!

Enjoy!!

Hi Danilo,

You can purchase his new album called 'Espanola' at https://www.flamenco-world.com/tienda/producto/espanola/5326/
He's done some great stuff with Latin jazz.
Josele is an awesome player.

I really dont know if it has been shown on t.v,
I found it while surfing through flamenco-world.com [:D]
It's probably only for the website, I'm not sure.

I bought the album last week in Madrid... Its disappointing. I am Nino Josele fan but thats too jazzy for my taste. Only the seguiryas is nice. The title-composition "espanola" is boring as hell and extremely long. Than a rumba in nuevo flamenco style and bulerias that are no bulerias because of an ugly sax and other anoying instruments... and repetition over and over... The other album "la venta del alma" where he just published the leftover ideas... "waste" is much nicer. Im so sad Nino Josele lost the right track with Paz and espanola. The other bad influence on him is ... strange but true.. Paco de Lucia. Now Josele plays a ****ty sounding Paco guitar... His blance that he used before was much better IMO. And... on the album espanola he covers a whole rondena of Paco.... Its so sad... And Im sure its only beasue of money.. With jazz you can have more gigs than with pure flamenco because much more people are interested in Jazz no matter how good or bad it sounds, than flamenco... Espanola is one of the most disappointing albums I got this year.

Beside of that I got Diego Amadors album "Rio de los canasteros" that is one of the greatest CDs I own so far.

I don`t think money is the reason for such fusionings. Thoose guys all start to play traditional flamenco at a very young age, embeded in their family-traditions too, they start their careers as accompainists of singers and dancers......and maybe jazz is as exotic to them as flamenco is for foreigners.so they want to explore new styles and widen their musical horizon.....its cultural development, nothing more.
And I am also glad to have purists who conserve old traditions.
I think both is totally necessary!!
But I agree with you, that there is a bit to much Paco in his playing now.Very obvious.
Thats why I liked Paz: jazzy flamenco-guitar that does not sound like Paco.
Basicly I like repetitions like in Gnawa-music because repetitions are the call to get the spirits down(like Duende)[:)]
So now I am really courios hearing Española....
