Another flamenco is almost born. How do you like the binding?

Looks nice. The binding seems to pick up the color in the rosette.[:)]

Hi ngiorgio,
I thought using bloodwood for binding and backstrip would look good. I used some EVO fretwire on this build as well which has a dull gold look to it. Much harder than nickel/silver wire. Once I put a finish on the top the bright reds and greens in the rosette really get toned down. Glad you liked it. Here is a shot of the back.

looks great! if you could get some matching tuner knobs...

the evo fretwires sound interesting. i wonder if they'll have any impact on tone.

keep us updated on this guitar. it looks great so far.

I refretted a classical for a friend with the EVO wire, neither of us could tell any difference. They will last a long time. I am putting Fustero tuners, silver with Gold Inlay, white rollers black MOP knobs on this one.

Really like that rosette. How many fret markers did you install?[:)]

jlneng -> RE: Almost ready for finish (Nov. 9 2009 14:26:20)

Too many...LOL...3,5,7,9,12,15,17. Charlie Byrd had fret markers on the Contreras that he played, his were made from pieces of masking tape. I like gold MOP better. Not very traditional but I am building this one for me. The gold EVO frets will probably be viewed as a departure as well, but they will never wear out.

Just on the side, I know I got carried away, but this one is for me.
