hi all ,
i was just looking through my M cordoba book .

i really struggle with rhythm (No sense of pulse !).

i wanted to say i feel his methos is great it seems more geared towards rhythmic expression than fancy falsetas.

i want to (Long term goal) get my simple playing up to standard i can attend(In England) some accompany classes for dances,

these days so many methods.

id love to hear what others think about this methos , a semi review , or usefulness of learning his material ??

Hi MD, I've got his Encuentro video and book, and I think they are very useful to give an overview of lots of different styles - about 20 I think. Nothing fancy but useful for accompaniment.

Watching his hand, he does use some techniques in different way to those I've been taught. For example he moves his hand right over the soundhold when he's doing rasgueos. My teacher would give me a big telling off if I did that in a lesson[:D][:D]

But no, I like him. Feels like good traditional, unpretentious stuff.

some people hate him 'cos his technique is bad, but he's kind of old school so i forgive him that, and that's not really the point of his encuentro's, it's about learning very basic rhythm and accompaniment.

yeah i think some of us need that stuff, as anders said in his bulerias lesson , (I wish teachers had taught counting and bulerias first) not fancy PDL falsettas.

Yes he's on Calle Isobel Llosa in Cordoba.
I had a lesson with him and my wife videod it. He was great for me at the time, not a beginner guitarist but pretty much a beginner to flamenco. He's very traditional which was also right for me at the time.
Since he has no English and I had no Spanish we just spoke to each other in our own language and it was a real laugh.
