well i maybe ,
Today i peered over and thought mm i think i have gained a few kilos , hells bells !!i have gained 11 kilos , but due to being Male i am think im not pregnant,

how many of you guys and girls were in shape then to reach the late 30's thinking oh dear i dont think that weights going to go .

the last week i write (A reminder letter) must wake up !!(good start!) pushups 100 then leg raises , eat less and not after 9pm, but i didnt ever do it once , how does one get motivated !! i have written so many notes saying come on @@@ im so unmotivated !!! any ideas , id like to lose 5-8 kilos in 3 months , i love my food , and good wine !!

You should not loose more than 2 kg a month! Ive lost 6 kg in 6 months, and most of it is fat, instead of water or muscles, which you will loose if you try to reduce more than 2 kg a month. Pushups will help to keep your abdominal muscles while your making a diet, but they wont "burn" the fat. What helps more is sports with low intensity (a heart rate of 130-150) but long endurance (above 20, 30 mins). Most importantly, dont just eat less. Dont be hungry, eat enough. And eat the right things, low fat, low carbon. Or if you are going to eat some or alot of fast food, be sure to KNOW how much kcal youre eating. You can actually eat any meal during the day, if you know that you will be under 1500-2000 kcals a day.

oddly enough, whenever i go back to school the food is so bad there that i always gain about 15 lbs.

typically what i do is just remind myself that i am not really hungry. its a simple trick. while you are looking at food, or wine i think in your case, just remember that you can eat it tomorrow if you still want it.

thanks Deniz And HH, i have a very good knowledge of Nutrition, i use to be in fine shape , but gosh .....tghat was a decade ago, below 2000 calories is so hard, and deniz exactly slowly and surely is the way ill give my self 3 months too lose 5-6 kg ans thats a fair start , and in reality if i look better thats fine no matter for the numbers .

just gotta get walking more , and soon as i wake up get into thinking Exercise , a little like thinking guitar!!.

cheers guys , any other ideas fine , id kill for a stout !!, thats where i have to change not even want to know how many calories in a stout.

HH 15 pounds man thats a lot to gain, what are they feeding you amigo ?parts of the bull [:D]

try eating six small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones. and always leave yourself a little hungry. i lost 40 pounds in 3 months once then eventually went back up 30 pounds with 4% body fat doing this. working out helps tremendously.

lol same thing happened to me. I ate fries everyday because there was no alternative [:@]
If you have a good knowledge on nutruition it wont be a problem for you. I didnt do much sports to reduce that 6kg. I eat what i want including chocolate and pizza (in small amounts), am almost never hungry and i loose wheight. Now i have started to work out a little (because of my inflamed back though) and do some bicycling.
I agree its not abot the numbers. But they help to guide you to the shape you want. My aim is to keep my wheight while loosing fat.

i nead to loose 10kg or something,, I never understod how pizza eating beer drinking musicians can be so ****ing skinny.

And to learn the instrument properly you basicaly have to sitt still for about 10 years

smoke a lot, substituting tobacco as your main vegetable works wonders
for the body weight ...

on the other hand not smoking has the opposite effect, which I know for
certain, since I no longer smoke.

Well,.. IMO becoming fat (except due to illness) its a lack of self-control and indicates a weak character with a sloppy lifestyle. In business its a no go IMO.
So the motivation must be present inside of you without the need to awake it somehow because you need this motivation continuously.
I was always skinny, than starting from the mid twenties I ate a lot of pizza and drank much vine every evening... I gained some fat. No problem for me because I thought,.. Im too skinny,.. its good for me. The sad thing is, I only gain fat at the stomach but not anywhere else. That looks dumb. So I decided to do sports to get in shape. It works fine and due to the sports I have also much more energy and can work harder and longer without getting tired than before. It just took around a year till I felt the first results..but its absolutely worth. That is enough motivation for me. I feel much better. ;.)
Well... and the people judge you by your appearance... If you think so or not... most of us do. If you are artist and you can hide behind your guitar... forget my words.

You could use a hart-meter and start excercising for more than 20 minutes between 60-80% of your max heart rate.
After 20 minutes the short sugars for energy supply are burned and the body needs other energy sources.
You'll burn the most fat at the 60-80% rate and create less muscle.

yeah Kozz no need for heart meter thing , just getting out , and no late night snacks !! or million beers hehe, ill be fine , just speaking out aloud as we do on a forum.

Asia things are really about Appearance ifind that extremely weak to be honest, if i was honest im not fat , but im a not in the shape i was , so im going to be , woke up 100 Pushups, then in to RH rolls for the guitar feels good !!! not too many carbs

i agree duende a bit harsh!! ah Kozz, i just need exercise, its all to easy to fall back and chill with friends with beers and food !

i should be chasing girls !! well id like to , i guess a stroll is in order , flip less than 2000 calories a day !!! its hard eating less !!
