omega0684 -> cleaning fret board (Jul. 27 2009 4:52:14) i am just re-stringing my guitar and would like to clean the fret board as its dirty from dead skin & grease etc. what is best to use? am i ok just using a damp cloth?

Kubase -> RE: cleaning fret board (Jul. 27 2009 4:57:14) I use lemon oil, applying as little as possible and making sure it's well rubbed in.

HemeolaMan -> RE: cleaning fret board (Jul. 27 2009 8:16:20) clean using naptha or some warm water. I use a very soft toochbrush to disturb the gunk. after that apply a light coating of lemon oil WITHOUT sillicates or waxes. Dr Dux axe wax is a good brand for that. wipe it off after about 10 seconds. You only need to do this once in a long while.
