Hey!
I've just found out that you can make the € symbol on a UK keyboard by pressing ALT+CTRL+4.

My €0.02's worth! [:D]

Congratulations!

That doesn't work on this side of the pond, but an exhaustive search of the character map reveals that it can be done with Alt+0128: €

Even better, right next to it on the character map is something called a "dong sign" - should you ever need it. It looks like this: ₫
