No problem, Carlos Montoya (remember the 5th string over the 6th trick?) was one of us and Paco's going our way too!

Cheers
Jim.

Damn, reading this lot I wish I'd gone on the course. I only live 15 miles away from Bath as I'm in Bristol! In fact I attended the concert Rafael gave in the Pavillion on the Sunday before the course began.

I nearly went to La Tasca on the Wednesday for the student performances but didn't in the end. If I'd known people from here were on the course I'd have gone and introduced myself.

Serves me right for being such an irregular visitor to the forum!!! Undue loyalty to the flamenco-teacher.com forum, I guess. In fact, coming back to this one it seems more interesting discussions happen here. flamenco-teacher.com seems to be all about guitars for sale on E-bay and what kind of strings to use. I'm more interested in technique and music, and more of that kind of discussion seems to go on here. And being British more local(ish) folk are here - well Scotland's more local than San Francisco anyway.

You'll be hearing more from me, I'm switching my allegiance.

Aha. MichaelB from Bristol. We were discussing the Bristol flamenco scene over on FT, remember?

Yes, more stuff happening over here - uploads, group jam etc.

Lots more UK folk too, as you say.

Jon

We'll take that as a compliment, but you can always frequent more than one forum.

Hi Jon, yes I do remember. As I recall it was around the time you played a gig in Thornbury. Have you played there since? If you play the Bristol area let me know.

Simon, of course I will still visit the F-T forum. We all owe it a great deal. As I recall it was Dimitri taking the forum down for a few weeks that prompted you to start up this one. I admire your iniative.
