Hi there guys.. I got my Anders guitar today and was very excited when I was heading into the post office!! Well I got it home, swapped the strings, and cleaned the fretboard (which had quite alot of grim).. I found that the person who sent the guitar put the guitar on top of the guitar case key which caused a gash on the back of the guitar (heartache!) but all good. It'll give it character! When I started playing, found that it wasn't as loud as I was expecting.. Then I realized it was a 12 hole tie block, so I went online to check how to use it and it definitely increased the break angle by quite abit. and once I finished, I tried it again and it was definitely louder than it was. I've attached some pictures.. but I would like some advice. I took a photo of the saddle compartment and the high E strings tie block. Need to check whether I need to get something (and if needed - what thing) to fill that empty space where the saddle compartment is chipped away. Another thing to check is that the 2 holes allocated for the high E string seems to be really really close to each other and seems to be cutting into each other. Should I keep using the same way to tie the string or just use the normal 6 hole tie block way of tying the high E string?
