mark indigo -> manolo sanlucar albums? (May 18 2009 7:21:16)

alain faucher has transcribed from several manolo sanlucar albums that don't seem to exist anywhere else,

"La guitarra de Manolo Sanlúcar" and

"Las dos caras de la guitarra"

i thought they might be compilations, but the titles don't appear on any other albums that i can find info for, unless they are the same tracks with different titles.

does anyone know anything about these albums and/or tracks?

The Rondeña is on Mundo y formas Vol. 3. Trascribed by Claude Worms.

I'm missing my Vol.2, which a friend has.

Were you ever able to locate any of these?

In particular, were you able to find a recording of "Siguiriya de la Quica"?

I got hold of an old LP of "La Guitarra de Manolo Sanlúcar" (I think from Todo Coleccion, or maybe Music Stack), but never found "Las dos caras de la guitarra" which the track you are interested in seems to be from.

machopicasso -> Manolo Sanlucar, "Siguiriya de la Quica" (Jun. 18 2014 10:39:57)

Does anyone know if any of the clips below are performances of (or more or less correspond to the material in) Sanlucar's "Siguiriya de la Quica"?

Alternatively, if the above are not matches, does anyone have a clip or a copy of "Siguiriya de la Quica"?

Thanks.

Really wish someone answered this post. I was just about to ask a similar question! What is the name of this Siguiriya? Im desperately trying to find the tabs for it as I'm making it my new mission to learn this piece and I dont even know what its called. Is it Siguiriya de la Quica? Also does anyone have any tabs for it or know of where it can be found?

mark indigo -> RE: Manolo Sanlucar, "Siguiriya de la Quica" (Jun. 4 2017 20:36:33)

I think it's the one from "Mundo Y Formas de la Guitarra Flamenca"

If so, it's on "Mundo Y Formas de la Guitarra Flamenca vol 2", and titled "Elegía al Niño Ricardo"

There is an "official" transcription book of each volume by Claude Worms available, not sure if Alain Faucher has also transcribed it, he has a lot of Manolo tabs on his Affedis web site.

Whoa! You have just made my day! Elegía al Niño Ricardo is totally it. A quick Youtube check just confirmed it thx dude.

mystery solved!

Las Dos Caras de la Guitarra Espanola was a compilation of half flamenco and half classical. There were 4 tracks from Manolo, and these were from an EP that he released in 1964. Tracklist:

A1 Alegrías Blancas
A2 Siguiriyas De La Quica
B1 Bulerías Sanluqueñas
B2 Soleares Del Recuerdo

Does anyone know this record? The audio title says a guitar recital offered by Manolo Sanlúcar on Thursday July 6, 1972, in Jerez.
