Surprise! I just discovered a set of Savarez normal tension 540s that I must have ordered last fall, and had wasted away in a drawer until now that I'm moving out. They're still in the original plastic (looks airtight) wrap. Will the strings have degraded at all at this point, or are they probably good as new?

They might not be like new, but they're certainly more than usable. I wouldnt throw them away. Well[:D] i dont like Saverez, so i'd throw them away, but not because they're old.[8D] Viva D'addario!!![:)]

maybe you can tell us how they feel and if theres a huge difference..either case it beats reversing and washing your strings I remember Savares, i think the base was pretty strong..but i wasent crazy about the feel or shape of the treblles
