Hey all - I've got two versions of La Tarara with Camarón, the original on La Leyenda del Tiempo, and a new mix on Autorretrato. From what I can tell, the taranto this new mix starts off with is called the once-popular taranto de la Gabriela (or some places called "La Gabriela") - I'm not sure if that's the name of a cantaor (who I've never heard of) or the song title or what. I'm especially curious what the letras are and where they come from (Lorca or no?).

So does anyone know, what is the "taranto de la Gabriela", where are the lyrics from, and does anyone know where I can find them? Thanks!

Taranta, not taranto. Sometimes called "Grabiela" because of the andaluz pronunciation.

and look for La Niña de los Peines. Other versions were recorded by Manuel Escacena and La Rubia de las Perlas, among others.
