i dont get how the grooves are supposed to improve the sound.

It sounds God awful on the first sound clip. Can't imagine any serious player least of all a Classical player going for that. At least you could get some cool DJ Scratch effects on those grooves. [:D]
Can't imagine a golpe would be too comfortable though.

I notice the advertising says it's "richer in harmony". That must be a good thing heh?

What an abominatiion!

Wow. And to think that when I scratch up a guitar I feel really bad.

Nice to see no avenue left unexplored in the name of having a "niche" market.

I think the grooves on the back are probably unnecessary...

What an idea! If I badly scratch-up my guitar, I should just carve grooves into it!

Hmmm, if they carve the grooves even deeper trough the sound board, it even can be used as a vegetable rasp....

Balinese carving (in stone and wood alike) is impressive, to say the least, and it could be used to produce some striking guitar-shaped objets d'art. But what they've done to that poor slice of spruce/cedar... even joining the twain in the first place is something of an abomination... and then to claim it enhances the guitar's tone? This approaches hubris, gentlemen, the pride which offends the gods.

But I'd still play one if it were handy, just to check it out. I have sympathy for reckless daring.

Yes, and I bet if PdL, Tomatito or Vicente had to use one on their next concert tour, the guy wouldn't be able to make them fast enough to meet the demand. [:D]

cheers,

Ron

i imagine with that built in washboard it could be handy for a one man skiffle band...
