Ooh what a happy little chappy.

So, after my Dad died last year, I came across some old photos (as you do), and here I am up to the age of 18. Now, my sister... oh everyone was hitting on my sister (still do) and my Dad was such an "artist" as you can see.

The one in plaster was after I put a broken bottle of Pernod right through my hand (my playing hand!) when I was in France, but scars become old friends in time.

Those are really nice pictures. Keen eye for photography. Reminds me that I need to become better at taking pictures, not artistically.. but to actually document some of the things that will be nice to look back at. Despite the digital age and all I hardly have any family pictures from the last 6-7 years. :-|

Yeah, that would be my Dad. If you look closely you'll see me in the white coat with a SLR he bought me for my 18th. He had me developing and printing photos from when I was 11 years old. He took all of these, including the one of him with a timer (camping in West Wittering, I think).

Hey, guess where we went on out first foreign holiday in 1968? Yeah... Spain - he borrowed the company car to get there. Sheesh, some Dads have got a lot to be blamed for.

Guess I was missing my parents tonight [sob].

I love your baby shot! Boy, time flashes by for us all... and we get old and pass away, leaving memories and photos to loved ones. Life is so damn fleeting yet permanent at the same time. I am getting morbid...

These shots look like they were taken in England. Am I right?

Wow, is that your old man in the color pic? He looks like a sixties-era British character actor, like Patrick McGoohan or someone of that ilk.

That's a handsome family there...

I agree Simon,

Both your folks look like TV or Film actors in that colour photo.......

......and you look like Julian out of "The Famous Five" by Enid Blyton...[:D][:D]

(Or how I imagined he would look)

cheers,

Ron
