That is from Gerardo Nunez DVD. I think the technique is called "slap"? I guess it comes from Bass guitar?

Awsome find Arash, thanks for posting. I just worked out a version of that muted falseta at 2:30, its a pretty cool sound...i like it a lot.

That wasn't pizz, that was palm muting.

Pizzicato on guitar is the same thing as palm muting....... Classical players call it pizzicato and rockers call it palm muting. I have noticed a lot of flamenco guitarists starting to use pizzicato in the last couple of years.... Antonio Rey used it too in the SF show this past Friday night...... also in RondeƱa. Cabezas was doing it A LOT in the festival a few years back. Its a cool sound as long as it doesn't get too "Al DiMeola".
