Hi at_leo_87, I find that higher tension trebles give me a more 'crystal' like sound if that makes sense. They have a better definition and handle better when you really dig in. I find that it is very important when gigging because you just get a better sound overall. As for normal tension basses, they tend to be a bit 'looser' than the high tension which is great for accompanying, although the sound is a bit thinner. What really works for me is high trebles/normal basses for accompanying and overall high tension when doing solos. Those are of course very subjective matters however.
