Joaquin Cortes was on channel 4 news tonight (stripped to the waist) and talking about his 20 year career in artistic dance. (he's 40 now).

Hailed as "the best Flamenco Dancer in the World", by the World Media, he has now been made "The Ambassador for Romany Gypsies" at the United Nations no less!

(I think one of the Spice Girls held high office there too as an ambassador for something or other [:-]), so this is obviously not a position to be taken lightly!

He said that as a poor and humble Romany gypsy himself, he felt he was duty bound to show other poor Gypsies that they too could make a success out of their lives, just as he did and is launching a new World Tour to prove it.

I'm glad I'm not a cynic like those who will think that he's getting older and getting much less media attention these days and this might stir the publicity up a bit...[:-]

No...

I just don't think like that.....and goddamn those cynics who do! [:D]

Sort of like the "Condom Czar" (or Czarina) like we would have in Britain if the Government had enough money left these days to appoint such a high paid post.. Good stuff![:D]
