Anders I noticed in el guitarrero that when you slotted the sides into the neck and glued them in they were uneven.

What i mean is, one side was higher than the other. they both stuck out above the part of the heel block inside the body.

How did you even that out to glue the back on? did you just trim the whole thing down to size somehow? or did you plane it all down when you glued in the kerfing?

When the tentelons have ben glued in to fix the sides to the top, and when they have completely dried, I meassure the height I want the sides to have, including the slight bow, and I plane it down to that. Remember that the heel should be some 2mm higher than the sides when you put a straight edge across the upperbout.

Then I glue the inner linings.

so then, by keeping the heel 2 mm higher you then tension the back that way... neato

What about the end block, is that 2mm higher too? same height as heel block?

thank you by the way! and I love that documentary, I've watched it about 3 times in a week lol. I'm learning more each time!

The heel is 2mm higher because the back is domed some 2mm. This is done by shaping the transversal braces and by gluing them in some kind of scooped out plate
