Andy,

Yes, that would be very interesting.

"Toca con mas carne."

It's good to read this, I posted a while back in response to someone asking about picado. I am reasonable at most technique, but for a long time my picado let me down. It just wasn't there and I got by with ligados. I decided to get picado sorted and rationalised this into two things:

1 - Picado is a left hand technique for a right handed player. In other words, sort out where you want to go thinking of your 'left' hand fingering while you play and your right hand fingers will follow. This (as far as I knew) was my original thought and it has worked well for me.

2 - Practice the right hand movements by forgetting about the nail and play with the pads of your fingers (middle of the finger print) not for real playing but more as a method to develop a solid sound.

Cheers
Jim.
