Paco de Lucia wins Gold Award 2008 
2008 Flamenco Guitarist of the Year Awards from "Acoustic Guitar" magazine announced....

Gold: Paco de Lucia
Silver: (Joint Winners) Jesse Cook/Ottmar Liebert
Bronze: Vicente Amigo

I guess JM was pipped at the post this year.

If he's in there this year then shouldn't PDL have been in there every year since the 60's?

Consider the source. Acoustic Magazine editors are clueless about Flamenco.

Is this a joke or something?

How can Amigo be on the third spot, especially after Cook and Liebert. Those guys just play on one string.
