Adelaide

Hey....I've just been watching this TV programme about Adelaide and realize how Flo has no worries...

Sh*t...the climate is perfect (so no big heating bills like here)

It showed you round this place "Trosspark" that was meant to be kinda naff and the houses were about 5 times as big as mine for the same price!
I couldn't see anything naff about it at all...
Looked like the "better" areas of Aberdeen.

They then moved to the "posher" areas of "Glenelg", again with house prices equivalent to a 3 bedroom house on a crappy housing estate in Britain...only these houses had 5 bedrooms and a swimming pool and a big patio area for the barby...

Flagstaff Hill and Mount Barker.....again residences that we reckon pop-stars stay in!

The bit I liked the most was that nobody works there!

There was a Telecom worker from England who moved there and said that in England everybody was on his ass all the time to get stuff done quicker, but now he just does half of what he used to do in a morning back in the UK and is considered a hard worker.

Everybody just gets up late, has a bit of Brekky and heads down to the beach for a bit of surfing, sunbathing, a meal and a few beers in the afternoon before heading home for a couple of hours kip, then going round to a mates house in the evening for a barbie and a bit of music.

I definitely missed the boat here!

No wonder Flo's so cheerful!

cheers,

Ron

Steven King once said he sets all his freaky stories in small towns because that's where that kind of weird **** actually happens... then someone else related that to Adelaide

Statistically speaking there are more murders, per capita, in rural areas. Any 1st year criminology major will be eager to confirm that.

One could posit that it's likely because fewer witnesses allow for passions to fun more freely and/or simply provide for more opportunity.

Being a city person, I think it only wise to avoid country folk.
