Didn't you also say in one of your posts that Australia follows America mostly? And aren't you living there? Well then what makes you think that you have a valid judgment on the world's perception of America? No i said that our poloticians follow america like litlle puppyes..and the tv is very proamerican since we are some of your the closest alies.. yes there was a pretty strong Antibush sentiment even here...go figure ..fair or unfair i dont know...noone is talking about that..he was precived as a trigger happy dumb cowboy. ..a litlle boy with too much testostrone and too much power.. here it wasent antiamerican it was antibush quote:
But that's not the point. The point is that global view has shifted strangely from Anti-America to Anti-Bush. Reason being, people have to find themselves a face to hate. If they say we hate America, that sounds a lot like simple ungrounded jealousy. But if they say we hate Bush, that sounds so much more validated and relevant, doesn't it? The problem is judgments are not based on facts but on what is being driven to you day in day out in media coverage so again u know whats going on in the worlds head ? one guy...u know it why not put a poll up ..its anonymus and u will actualy get the WORLDS or closer to it view on it..Scared the results might proove that u cant read minds ? quote:
People have forgotten that prior to Bush there was just as many hating, effigy-burning, suicide-bombing loonies in the world. And no surprise since America up to this day went against everything that your typical freedom-suppressing, authoritarian government stood for. Be that Iran, Iraq, Venezuela, USSR, N. Korea, China, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and the list goes on. noone is arguing that....it could be unfair..it could be unfounded i am not here to discus that with you..public opinion most of the time is but u are still on the phone arguing with me that its raining in Australia put it to the vote..get your answer...stop pretending like you know what everyone else is thinkg quote:
Yes. People who come to US to work come from Canada, not all countries I named, hence the separate sentence "Maybe Canada....". ok I did missread this..my bad

hey mark, yes i exaggerated it on purpose. its not true that people in america have no problems. and its also not true that all prosperity in america is based on war etc. but the opposite of it, that all the wealth in america is because of hard work, is also not true. everybody knows, that america has stationed troops all over the world, and does and is willing to do warfare wherever it sees its interests in danger. im just saying: look a bit closer at the country in which your are working so hard. to me its not a good excuse to say that someone is working hard. it depends on WHAT FOR he is working hard: to support a country that does warfare?? im not in agreement with that. quote:
Or is it just going back to blaming others for one's problems. of course... the troops in irak are just ghosts, hm? quote:
Instead America gives money for their development oh yes, and if a country doesnt accept this "help" (doesnt development money also always full fill an interest on american side, hm?), america even is willing to send peacekeepers to make sure that the country gets alot of help. some may call it war, but they are just jealous communists.

Jeez, I never realized that everyday that I go to work to earn a living for my family that I'm somehow screwing someone over who lives in another country. I'm sure that's not what you mean, but I'm interested in knowing what America does that has a negative impact on your life. People that live well in Amercia do so mostly because they work hard, and take little time off. A month long holiday in America is a fantasy. I live well, but have not had even a week off for three years. I honesty don't remember when my last vacation was-I remember the vacation, just not how many years ago it happened. I really don't think anyone should be jealous of that. Like i said before i dont think anybody hates you Mark(atlist not from what i hear around australia)...this is the kind of conversation i tried hard to stay away from..Because Bogdan tried to make this about the world hates america and and are jelous of it.....and frankly i found those comments insulting and untrue..i belived i was a litlle more qualified then Bogdan to talk about Public opinion outside america considering I am outside America atm and he isnt. i came on this thread to pass on my congratulations to Americans here on theyr election.,.i just got done with saying i look up to them and admire them for this.. Nobody wishes America bad...if u read my comments before this its on the contrary but we cant pretend there wasent a strong Antibush sentiment in international Public Opinion...can we ? i didnt single handedly invent it.. i mean was this a surrprise to you ? did you just find this out ? they never mentioned anything on tv ? i have seen a few americans here say that themselfs a few times before. I think Bogdan purposly said some outragos things to get someone outisde America fired up enough to take the bate.. quote:
I can tell you: No. America is hated for Bush and for the bad life America ensures for the most part of the world. Never thought about why you have such a good life? Deniz took the bait (understandable, some of the comments were so purposly out there that i came close a few times) and gave Bodgdan just what he needed and has beein trying all night to make this about.. nations. when it wasent..it was about a few people in it, Bush Administration, Foreign Polocy..and public opinion around the world on them.. this discusion is just like real life polotics alone my ideas arent getting trough but if get one of you to say something that can be precived as against the Australian people..all the suddent the rest of the Australian members will side with me in the discusion regardles of weather my ideas are ignorant towards the rest of the world, minorities in my own country etc.. because now its a matter of national pride..they insulted AUSTRALIA ! get em lads ! EYY HAAAAAA very clever Bogdan but u know the rest of the world arent as ignorant and as silly as u think...most can deferenciate between "we dont like a president, we dont like a polocie instead of we dont like a whole country, we dont judge a whole country on one loud guy, we realize that people are people no matter what colour or where they leave and theres as*hloes in every country and in every colour" If anything i am more proAmerica then i am anti..i didnt forghet what they did for Australia and the world in the second world war..many owe them...dosent mean i am going to play dumb in public opinion on Bush around the world lately..i realize hes not America..but i will not insult your intelligence and mine by pretending there wasent alot of Antibush sentiment outide..when we both have been watching the news U leave in america what maKes you think your media would ever show u anything that dosent agree with ..or he dosent want u to see ? if my judgement is clouded by bad meadia reporting...what does that say about yours ? it is more in theyr interest to have u belive them and support them..I have the luxury of seeing the truth from midlle ground unclouded by storyes designed to appeal to your Patriotism and sence of duty..and war propaganda etc.. its back to that same thing i talked about before...that ability to step out of your own shoes and look at it trough different eyes..

I don't know what the perception is of different people in other countries, but believe me, Americans don't have any real say in what happens to the money we are compelled to give the government. Of course we can elect new leaders, but once they get in, they do what they want. I'm not working to enable our government to save the world-I don't make that much :-) Paying for my house, my kid's education, heathcare, etc. is what I'm working for. I have no time to fight the windmill of even my small town's government, much less the federal version. We have plenty of people who do spend their time protesting to little avail. I'm sure many are pleased with Obama's promises. I sincerely wish him the greatest success. I believe he will improve the image of Americans throughout the world, and that is surely needed. But he's gonna have to do a lot more than that. quote:
