Neal,

I don't know about the Merengue de Cordoba material, but in my opinion, you can't go wrong with Herrero.

The other books you should consider are the Graf Martinez volumes one and two. Lots of us on Foro have found it to be very good. Flamenco Connection carries both volumes.

I got the Merengue one and it covers alot in one video which together with the score is quite useful but I can't say I have yet gained much confidence from it. Although I'd need to spend much more time with it. Probably it depends where you're at. I recently started on a couple of the Oscar Herrero DVDs and he goes into much greater depth throughout the series which personally I prefer. There aren't really enough hours in the day are there?
