Yeah but we overlap a bit. Also it's real fun when people start talking **** cos they've stayed up too late drinking and talking on msn

I have already suggested this to Simon once. He thought this would be difficult. Instead we should use Skype, ICQ and others. I guess he's right.

A web-based chat, tying in with your current forum credentials i.e. keeping your login name and password is tough and costs too much - sorry

I've only ever used msn - are these different services compatible or do you have to sign up to the same one? Is one system better than the others?

Yeah i guess there is always the pros and cons... Plus things always cost money...
Hey Ailsa, i dont think they are compatible and it is a personal preference one which one u like to use, kinda depends on what u use it for...

Or more importantly, who you use it for. Everyone has their own choice IM client and because of that, no one really has a choice. Sure, I can use MSN or ICQ, but it doesn't matter since all of my friends are on AIM. Even if another client is better, it doesn't matter if you can't use it to speak to people in your social circle, in your community. That's the problem with communication programs, it's never about which program is actually the best...

To add a chatting-option is not usefull for the foro I think. Many arguments would not be posted here that discussed rapidly in a chat. And no one who is online at that time and is glueing on the screen would get it.
So its not good. And I´m against it.

If somebody want to chat, one could use icq or skype IMO.

And if the chat history would be posted somewhere here, I would not be intersted to read through tons of messages which only consist one sentence or just smileys ... It would take one hour to get through a conversation about what is 1+1.
