London flamenco festival 08 - schedule!

Sara Baras (again!) Farruquito, Merche Esmerelda, Carmen Linares... not much solo guitar by looks of it - but then we were spoilt the last two years with vicente then gerardo.

like the look of Viva Jerez and would love to see Carmen Linares. sure they'd all be great though...

It's always so hard to decide which shows to book for

However I'll have to see Merche Esmeralda - I'm booked on the Guajiras course in Jerez from 2nd to 8th March, so it would be amazing to see her perform back in England just a few days later

Farruquito is a must see I would say. I had no idea he was out of prison but they did say that he would only serve a quarter of his sentence so maybe he will be out by then or is even out already though I'm sure there would have been something in the papers. Maybe I missed it. I saw his brother El Farruco the other night and it was fabulous. Farruquito has said that in respect to the family he would not dance again in Spain so maybe I have to get over to London, what are the dates? Just in case I can make it. I had tickets for him in Jerez a while back but then couldn't make it as my folks came out to visit

I just had a look at the dates and its when we are going to Vietnam so cant make it but I see that it's not Farruiquito but Los Farruco his family. Rafaela Carrasco is also a must see, and Rocio Molina and Belen Maya are with Merche Esmeralda which sounds a great line-up.

Oh yes sorry i didnt read it properly, it says 'conceived and directed by Farruquito'.
better start saving the pennies, unfortunately these things are never cheap..
