AndyB, rethink about leaving, OK? Please for me!!

Believe me, there are people here on this forum that don't like me, and I know who they are, but, that's not going to make me just up and go!

This forum is about the most civilized place to come and chat about flamenco, as well as other topics...remember the grass is not always greener on the other side!

Besides, I like your input on flamenco, it's always positive, encouraging, and educational. So, rethink your position, OK! PLEASE, COME ON, DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN!! ;>)

And for those that don't like me, tuff! I'll be here to make your life miserable (I'll post more of my guitar playing)!! ;>)

Come on guys

Take it easy. I tried to say my opinion in a civilized way, without being personal. If someone takes this personal, means that:
1) here you have to be very carefull with what you say (or say nothing)
2) might be that some of the complaints about others should be seen in the mirror (understand?)

But again, take it easy and remeber that this is an internet forum. We hardly know each other, but we are not here to be unfriendly.

Well my last post was a bit more harsh than intended, so I´ll just add a chorus from an old Canned Heat song: Lets stick together, come on come on, lets stick together, cause together we´ll stand every boy girl woman and a man.......

We are together with a wonderfull art form, el flamenco, and sharing a wonderfull instrument, la guitarra flameca.

All this is said with a bit of confusion and fear, because we are a bit stroken here in Spain these days

Thanks for not letting this thread get out of control while I was away guys. I learnt some very important lessons about getting on with complete strangers these last coupd of weeks in a very flamenco environment. You can imagine some of the differing opinions on artists, music, palos, technique and who does the washing up.

Everyone has something worth sharing. A little patience and it rewards us all in the end.

I missed the second page of this thread so I see it did get a little heated. I go away for 2 weeks and look what happens

It's your own fault for not getting down to the Jerez penas and buying me a drink

BTW - Emma bought a new guitar from Rafael Lopez in Cadiz yesterday, Jonathan and I went with her. I'll let her post an audio of it sometime (she plays very, very well; good compas and that's from the experts). It's a great guitar, totally hand-made with the help of copious black tobacco and beer.

I'm home today

Holy Mother of God Simon thanks for the compliment, totally undeserved. I worked on compas, now I have to work on basic repetoire for accompaniment. Rafael wouldn't let me leave the shop without putting in to use attempting to accompany him singing a solea while Simon accepted anything on offer, only joking i meant cerveza. What a charming bloke, the men in that part of the world are really friendly.

I love my new guitar it smells of wood and black tobacco. I'm passively mas tranquilo ahora.

I tried to bring my heart back from Jerez but it's dragging behind me somewhat. F#ck it lets just go back soon...
