Hi. They are $50 each. I know there are some that cost half this amount but these do have quite a bit of inlay work and man hours involved. The pictures really do not do these justice.

Hi Tom,

they really look very nice. Would your cejillas disturb by their height the fingering in the first fret? I´d like to see a photo where you fret a tone on the 5th or 6th string.

Just an F.Y.I. I now carry one of the largest selection of handmade cejillas anywhere. From $40.00 to $60.00

I've added about 60 more since my original post.

If you own a Conde, the HCLE series would look great as the peg has the "media luna" design. Although any one of these will look great on any guitar.

Congratulations, they are truely stunning.
Can you not persuade them to supply some with Reyes or Gerundino peg designs?

You know Jim, that's a good idea. Having a custom made cejilla with the peg matching the head of your guitar. I need to consider that.

I just got my cejilla today. I've always used my Dunlop as I always thought cejillas should be subdued visually, but now I've changed my mind. It looks very cool.

Gerundino (Peter) suggested that idea to me a while back when I made my own cejilla. Its a great idea, and I don't think its patented as yet. Although isn't the headstock design of a guitar automatically covered under a design patent? not sure... there might some objections from luthiers unless they get a cut.

There is no such thing. Haven't you noticed every luthier and their mother uses the Hauser head design?

Mmm, I'm not so sure. if another luthier started actually selling guitars with the exact same Media Luna headstock design, I think the Conde brothers would have something to say about it.

Wow, Tom im deeply impressed, there are so many different designs. Did you designed and build all of them? Is there a "cejilla school" you went for or do you learned it all by yourself? How long have you been making guitars? Just couple questions

Sure, they could say all they want about it. That's about it. There is no law thay says you can't use someone elses design. At least not that I'm aware of. They could make a big fuss about it but legally, I doubt there is anything they can do. Especially if the guy copying the Conde is in the US. In Spain, they may have more pull to do something. Every maker has taken something from another, whether it's from the cosmetics of the guitar or from the design. Some people even make, or try to make replicas or "copies". Very few are every really close to the original but they still do it.

If there was a law, I think Herman Hauser III would put an end to everyone using his families design which I believe was originally Torres' design to begin with.

If anyone knows if there is in fact a law, I would love to know about it.

Hi Deniz,

I have a degree in cejiology and studied for many years under the mentorship of Maestro Igor Caposki of Poland.

Seriously, I did not make these. These were made by two individuals who use scrap wood from various makers in Spain.

As for guitar building, I've been at it for 3 years.

They really use crapwood for making these cejillas? Please dont say that. Just imagine if someone ask "whats that? Its nice" And you would have to say. Oh that a capo made of crap in poland. hahaha

But this scrap looks really really good! 50$ is much for a capo. So..Im waiting for that you put some in ebay!

But please dont make so high starting bids... trust me. There are many people who would pay much for these diamants! I´ve never seen such good looking capos. Thats no lie.

Not CRAP wood...LOL, but SCRAP wood. These are the piece of wood that get left over from the wood they use to build their guitars.

Sorry I used an online translating tool for the word scrap. And the first meanng in the list was something like "waste". Its allways the same with these damn tools..
