playing arp with pinky? No way. What are the possible pros and cons? no idea, and I don't know anyone who actually does it, at least not in flamenco guitar. I think there is a classical guitarist (Charles Postlewaite? I haven't checked) who advocates it on the basis of more finger options, better balance of hand, something like that, I have never looked into it. EDIT: I checked, it is Charles Postlewaite. However, apparently the hand position necessary for using the pinky in arpegios etc. is further away from the usual flamenco hand positions, so I wouldn't bother looking into it any further. Just adapt the exercises for P, I, M and A if you want to use them.
