thanks, Ethan, for the guitar : )

Just wanted to thank Mr. Ethan Deutsch for the lovely Blanca purchased way back at the beginning of this whole pandemic thing. I wasn't sure he'd even respond to my email but things worked out beautifully in the end.

The guitar itself is an interesting instrument. It's a Blanca that walks a bit of a line but does not cross over into the thin, airy, brittle area you sometimes hear on other blancas and has a nice low end. but it has something magical going on right around the 'A' (string) and can still be heard 0/7/9/10/0/0

I'm not sure if there's a term for this but within a couple steps in either direction, it sounds like there is some sort of harmonic or very subtle interplay between notes that sounds a bit like three other guitarists just showed up. it's awesome.
it reminds me of when you see glass wobble and shatter when exposed to the exact right note (errr, frequency?) it's too bad there aren't any, say, ivy league physicists around to answer that

Anyway, I could go on with comparisons to my other guitar and make this post another five pages, but I won't.

So thank you very much, Ethan. Let me know if you change your mind on the painting : )

while no less beautiful to my eyes, this was a one-off, minimalist affair that I'm not certain he would want posted, as it isn't the 'typical' representation of his work--at least that was the impression I got at the time. but what the hell do I know?
