Jose Ramirez guitar

Hello everybody. My uncle found an almost broken Jose Ramirez guitar and he fixed it. Now he is trying to understand the age of the guitar.

This is what is written inside: Jose Ramirez, Pizarro 17, Apartado 18134, Madrid.

Does anybody know how to find the age of this guitar?

Thank you!

It’s not a hand made guitar made by the shop of Josè Ramirez based in Calle Jeronima Conception in Madrid but probably a studio guitar made elsewhere.
My guess is for a cheap guitar but maybe it’s fun to play.

I’ve never seen that label before. Apparently it’s “made Spain”.

From the Guitarras Ramirez website: "Pronto se independizó y en 1882 abrió su taller. Primero estuvo en el Rastro y más tarde en la calle Concepción Jerónima número 2."

Speaking of Jose Ramirez I, the great-grandfather of the present head of Guitarras Ramirez, "Soon he set up his own shop in 1882. At first it was in the Rastro, and later in Concepción Jerónima 2."

I visited the shop in Concepción Jerónima several times in the 1960s-70s while Jose Ramirez III was the proprietor. They moved from there to Calle de la Paz 8, where I visited a time or two. 17 Calle de Pizarro is a few kilometers from any of the places cited above, the only locations of Guitarras Ramirez.

I conclude that the guitar was not made in the workshop of the famous business Guitarras Ramirez, nor was it one of the less expensive factory guitars that they sold under various labels with their name and endorsement.

...and "apartado" refers to a post office box.
