One of the greatest moments in the series. This scene was included in the Melchor episode, however, when you realize that it was part of the Manolo Caracol episode that was extracted, it carries a lot of emotional weight. At the start of that episode Caracol explains the house was new and Melchor’s was the first guitar to enter the home since his wife died. We notice his left arm was in a cast and here removed from a car accident, and I often wondered if that was the cause of death as well. All the cantes he sings are like a dedication to her, and this one with father and son is especially moving.

Also want to point out this was soon before his death, and I had read claims that toward the end his voice was not good and he used falseto which is just ridiculous, as you can see he was singing strong as ever in full voice.
