That's one of the hardest things to do, I'm sure it's useful though to learn play left and right handed, here's some inspiration:

At first I thought you were crazy. Now I think this should be the next Foro challenge...

MAB is awesome.

Chester - just for fun. I'm getting more interested in symmetry and balance, and thought this would be a cool project.

Andy - yeah, it'd be the first challenge to make advanced guitarists go back to beginner level.

How would you even do it - don't you have nails on what is now you fretting hand (the right hand)? And no nails on your now picking hand?

That has been tricky, indeed, but I've realized that if the nails are short enough on both hands, they work both for fretting and plucking for the most part, so it's a compromise / balance, but all part of the fun.

You're brave man! It wouldn't even occur to me to try it!
Good luck.

I heard that Clark Terry would practice with his trumpet upside down, so you might be on to something ;)

Ramzi, maybe you will play flamenco like the great blues and folk singer Elizabeth Cotten played, with the guitar left-handed and with the strings upside down. It was, and still is, known as "Cotten Picking." Elizabeth Cotten wrote and recorded the well-known folk song "Freight Train." I'm looking forward to a left-handed solea' from you.

Bill

Gipsy kings members already do this. I remember when I met Andre Reyes and showed him my conde, he turned it backwards and played the entire entre dos aguas upside down left handed!

Good thing we have that new pretty background to look at while you hack away at chromatic exercises

All part of the plan. Wait till you see the new background (that means the music will be even more painful)

Or be like this kid and get your twinkle-toes into the act, too. (She is a right handed player who started playing lefty to increase the “challenge”).

Indeed, Rob et. al. - I've thought of flipping over the guitars I now have and playing Gipsy Kings style (basses down, trebles up). I tried that a bit once I got my left guitar and played it righty that way. It's another fun challenge. Yeah, and the feet - in the future, I'll give it a go. The idea would be to play the "real" Entre Dos Aguas all by myself.

After you have mastered "Entre Dos Aguas," playing left-handed guitar with the strings upside down, "Cotten picking" (or Gipsy Kings) style, you can really pay homage to Elizabeth Cotten by transcribing her classic song "Freight Train" into Cante letras and Cotten picking the guitar while singing a Cante style "Freight Train."

Maybe by the time I am 100 years old, Bill, then I may be able to do that.
