People shouldn’t feel pressured to run some kind of virtual gauntlet in order to feel their opinion is valid or that they are permitted to have a voice. If you want to kill the Foro, I’m afraid that would be a good way to go about it. If someone wants to say something silly, we all still benefit from the blowback, and ultimately everyone gets to learn from it. There are a lot of highly accomplished players here, but do we really want a Foro that exists only for the pro-level members? There is absolutely no doubt that the Foro benefits hugely from the contributions of members who have achieved excellence, but it might get pretty lonely at the top without the mayhem created by the rest of us. I’d hate to lose any of the current crew of contributors. I mean, I have “Louie, Louie” down solid, isn’t that enough? I’ll probably never get the solo to ‘Canyons of Your Mind” perfect, but I’ve learned to live with that. As far as flamenco is concerned, I’m an aficionado, I play well enough that my friends who really can play don’t bash me over the head for it, but nobody’s ever questioned my love of flamenco or my ability to appreciate it just because my hands can’t express what’s in my heart.

I don't think we will loose any members....I am not pro level at all...I would love to post my playing at some point....It's all good.... quote:

RobF. The power of the mind. One day your "hands' will EXPRESS what is in your heart"....If you work on it and BELIEVE.....I try not to compare myself to anyone...I know it hard not too, but, too me, if you play the most basic compas with HEART and SOUL...Ole....
