Flamenco Nation

https://uwpress.wisc.edu/books/5707.htm

I just finished this. It seems to do what it says on the tin. There’s no musicology in it. It’s about the way flamenco was variously enlisted and resisted by political and commercial interests. Anyone else had a look at it?

I have not read it, but I was tempted to buy it just based on the cover art. It's very cool....would make a good poster.

My favourite image from it is this:
