Hi! 

Hi,

I'm Theo. I'm a guitarist, actually looking at learning the persian Tanbur. I think there might be some technique crossover with Flamenco and that's why I'm here!

Will post a few questions (and a link to a REALLY great Tanbur performance) in the "off topic" section. See what you think :)

Hello Theo,
Tanbur sounds interesting. I’m fairly new here but hope you find the people here helpful. Would be cool to see you make a post about your instrument and a photo. Guessing some here know more about them then others, myself I know little of the instrument.

Myself I am new to flamenco and I’ve also started building flamenco guitars less then two years ago but I’m 8 in already and building more.

I prefer my flamenco guitar spicy,
doesn't have to be fast,
should have some meat on the bones,
can be raw or well done,
as long as it doesn't sound like it's turning green on an elevator floor.
