Help identifying Flamenco or Spanish...

Hoping from help. I'm looking to identify an instrumental album from the 60's or 70's. I know (remember) little about it, other than I know that I loved it and what I think the album cover looked like. Either the front or the back had a picture of a graveyard. The graves were all marked by guitars as tombstones. Anybody remember this album?

I listened to this album for many hours and it was one of just a few record albums that my parents owned. Guessing, I listened to is from the ages of 5 to 10 years old.

Hmm. Beats me. Can you remember if it was a flamenco album? Can you remember any piece of music on it?

I believe it was flamenco. Definitely Spanish guitar. I'm assuming flamenco is a subset of Spanish guitar. I do not recall any specific piece from it.
I still enjoy this music and credit it to listening to this album when I was young.

Careful, Woody. I know what you mean, but it could be argued that flamenco is "sui generis," a genre all its own, no more beholden to Spanish guitar than to Moorish/North African or Sephardic music, all of which have influenced it.

Well, flamenco guitar is a subset of Spanish guitar. Was there any singing, can you remember? And if so, in what language?

To be frank, I’m not optimistic of solving this without more information. I’ve browsed through several hundred album-covers without a hit.

Paul,

Thank you for giving this such a good shot. Very kind and greatly appreciated.

Instrumental only. No singing. I agree this is short on details. I wish I could remember more. I too looked through pages and pages of album covers. Searched every which way that I could think of.

Great forum and thanks out to anybody who has taken a look at this for me.

Brett
