Compás apps for 2020

Compás apps for 2020

Was looking at compas apps again and was a little overwhelmed by the choices. Some are new and a few have been around for years.

Looking for two kinds:

One super simple no screwing around, you’ve got fifteen minutes to kill before dinner and just want to click on your phone then rock some rasguao in compas.

The other would be a feature filled app, one you can set up different rhythm patterns and sound effects while at the same time reasonably intuitive. Something more likely to be used on a pad like device?

Thinking there’s time now to get serious!

as long as it doesn't sound like it's turning green on an elevator floor.

Personally use A Compas. Free, has randomization option to sound less synthetic. Good interface.

As a professional app developer:

1. Many, many issues with sound synchronisation.
2. Lack of volume on mobile/tablets - bluetooth speakers have their own synch. issues.
3. Not a big enough market for a serious effort.
4. There are others out there already.
