Check with Ron Hudson at Memorial Music in Houston.

http://m.memorialmusic.com

He deals in Navarro’s guitars. I visited there last summer. He had a few used Reyes models for sale. He offered me a cocobolo/spruce negra, in excellent condition, for $2500.

I believe the guitar was strung with Savarez Alliance. I don’t like the “carbon” trebles. I had my ‘67 Ramirez 1a blanca along. In a small but relatively lively room the Navarro’s almost new basses were nearly as loud as the very old, even corroded basses on the Ramirez.

I stopped by the store mainly out of curiosity, not really intent on buying a guitar. I thought that at $2500 the Navarro was a very good guitar for the money.

I have a friend in town who bought a Navarro Reyes and might be open to sell if the price is right.

That is if you haven't found one by now.

Please contact me at my e-mail since my indicator at foro is not working.
