Flamenco workshop in Sante Fe

The annual Flamenco workshop in Sante Fe is coming up and I just thought I would mention it .
I'm going again this year and I thought some of us could meet up down there and help each other out, drink a few and go thru like 10 packs of strings in a week together ha ha ha ha ha. let me know who is interested.
Heres the Link laters

This the info you need if you can't find it on the site. http://www.mariabenitez.com/index.asp?ID=8

Last year I took 1 hour from Chuscales and 1 hour from Calvin Hazin 10 hours for about 350.00 If I remember right. It was A lot of fun man. total I think the trip cost me about 900 with plain tickets and every thing else.

I'm seriously considering it and I really should. My "problem" is I only live about 150 miles from "Santa Flake." Too far to drive daily, for me at least, but too close to stay with only an hour or two a day tied up in instruction.

I fear I would go nuts in the off-time and I can't play or practice more than 3-4 hours daily, my hands just won't take it anymore and I have consumed more than my share and probably several other people's share, of booze in my lifetime.

Is the schedule posted yet? Added: I see it's not.

BTW, Chuscales will be here tomorrow night, 2/18. I'm anxious hear and meet him.

I stayed with a friend down there. every morining I would take the bus downtown and then another and walk about 15 minutes to the Radisson which is now the Lodge. I would take 2 classes and then hang out in the bar and practice for 7 to 10 hours. Then start drinking to kill the Pain of practicing that much(dont worry I didnt hurt myself).

I changed my strings 10 times in a weak ****ing crazy eh eh ha ha.

Anyway I think it would be cool to get a couple guys and share the cost of a room I'm sure they would hook us up I know the guys that work there. It would be a lot better than staying at the dorms. Also we could wake up and go right downstairs to our lessons. And every night theres a Flamenco show. Which you can usher for and get free tickets, once you have seated evryone you can sit and enjoy the show. Chuscales and Calvin Hazen are excellent players.
I think for about 400 bucks you can take 10 classes. thats a killer deal man.

Thought I would share a little of what I know.

Any questions just ask, I will post the schedule as soon as I get it in the mail.

Anyone interested please let me know

Edgar:

Are the classes conducted in the Radisson/Lodge, the one on the north side of town where her theater is (bar upstairs)?

Very familiar with that place as my wife and I attend her performances usually a couple of times during "the season."

Were the dorms that bad? I checked out the links, but it states the schedule will be posted as soon as it is available.

I'm very interested in attending, but don't think I could do more than a couple-few days. Not to mention, I'm only a beginner, and the most I've ever been able to practice in a single sitting is about 3 hrs.

I just heard it was a pain to bathe and clean up no sinks and ****, half to share a bathroom.

Samwise you could take 1 class practice for 2 hours and check out downtown.
