Tomatito's Encuentro

I was just wondering if someone could confirm that Tomatito plays a Conde Af25R in the Encuentro video?

I originally asked this in the "What is Tomatito doing here" thread but I think that thread has been covered so exhaustively that it is time to move on!

Thanks!

Yes it is. I've got the DVD and an AF25
AF25 is Indian
Af25F is more exotic rosewoods (plus maple and Koa)
Felipe V has a load of fancy binding.

You can clearly see the rosewood is highly figured so not Indian.
It hasn't got any fancy binding.

So definitely an AF25R on appearance alone but if Conde built it for him it might be a bit special compared to most of-the-peg AF25R's

Hope this helpful (my first post btw)

Baden thanks for confirming this and welcome.

No question it must be a special AF25R probably made for Tomatito. I believe he also used this same guitar in Carlos Saura's movie, but he has retired it in favor of his Reyes in recent years.

I am so shocked to see that I really want me a AF25R; I have always been into orangey cypress flamencos - always blancas, but somehow that negra with a pale top just rocks. It's probably mostly Tomatito though!

Has anyone else noticed that, according to Encuentro’s site, their Tomatito Book/DVD is no longer available? It appears to be the only one in this state, which surprised me more than somewhat, as I would have thought it would be one of the most popular.

Maybe it is just an odd way for them to say that it is currently sold out (which would match the idea that it is very popular).
